Der Oerlikerpark dient bereits zum 11. Mal als Künstlerplattform für die PERFORMANCE REIHE NEU-OERLIKON unter dem Kuratorium und Organisation von Maricruz Peñaloza.

Seit elf Jahren besteht die PERFORMANCE REIHE NEU-OERLIKON als eines des nachhaltigen Festivals für Performance-Kunst im öffentlichen Raum in der Stadt Zürich, somit bildet eine ganz wichtige Diskussionsplattform, mit dem Blick auf Austausch und Dialog zwischen KünstlerInnen und Publikum.

Das ganze Kulturleben wurde auf einmal auf die Onlineplattformen verschoben, mit dieser Tele-Anwesenheit, hatte sich der private Raum als einen temporären und teilweise öffentlichen Raum gezeigt. Nun kehren wir wieder zurück in den öffentlichen Raum mit realen und direkten Begegnungen.

Bei der diesjährigen Ausgabe der Performance Reihe Neu-Oerlikon geht es um andere Begegnungen, um Reflexionen und breitere gesellschaftliche und politische Fragen aber auch um andere wichtige Fragen nicht nur in Bezug auf den Kunstbetrieb.

Kunst im öffentlichen Raum bewirkt und bewegt eine -nicht ganz alltägliche- Möglichkeit, die Welt, in der wir leben, mit anderen Augen zu betrachten, darüber zu reflektieren und darüber zu diskutieren.

Die 11. PERFORMANCE REIHE NEU-OERLIKON findet am SA 29. AUGUST 2020 ab 14 Uhr statt. Mit folgenden KünstlerInnen und Kuratoren aus Madrid:

Curators Talk | Q & A mit Francisco Brives und Néstor Prieto, Gründer und Co-Direktoren vom Art House Madrid (Museum La Neomudéjar, Zapadores Ciudad del Arte und KÁRSTICA ESPACIO DE CREACIÓN (Künstler Residenz). Sie werden uns etwas von ihrer Tätigkeit und ihren Projekten erzählen.

Vielen Dank an alle teilnehmenden Künstler:innen sowie an Sandra De los Santos für die Resonanz. Es ist wichtig zu betonen, dass keine Gage an die Teilnehmenden ausgezahlt wurde. Sie alle haben solidarisch gehandelt.
Wir möchten uns auch bei Tabea Lurk bedanken. Sie ist Leiterin der Mediathek der FHNW Hochschule für Gestaltung und Kunst in Basel und hat es ermöglicht, das Festival zu streamen. Vielen Dank auch an Pavel Aguilar für die Filmaufnahmen des Festivals und das Streamen.
Und schliesslich danken wir allen, die das Festival irgendwie unterstütz, besucht und dazu beigetragen haben, dass es in diesen seltsamen Zeiten stattfinden konnte! Wir brauchen Kunst, um zu überleben!

The PERFORMANCE REIHE NEU-OERLIKON has been one of Zurich’s sustainable festivals for performance art in public space for eleven years now, and has become a very important platform for discussion with a view to exchange and dialogue between artists and the public.

The whole cultural life was suddenly shifted to the online platforms, with this tele-presence, the private space had shown itself as a temporary and partly public space. Now we return to the public space with real and direct encounters.
In this year’s edition of the PERFORMANCE REIHE NEU-OERLIKON is about other experiences, reflections and broader social and political issues, but also about other important questions not only in relation to the art business.
Art in public space causes and moves a – not quite everyday – possibility to look at the world we live in with different eyes, to reflect and discuss about it.

The 11th PERFORMANCE REIHE NEU-OERLIKON will take place on SA 29 AUGUST 2020 from 14.00 hrs. With the following artists and curators from Madrid:
